From Cone to Cloth to Cape

Weave and Sew a Cape
Weave yardage that will then be cut and sewn into a cape for cool fall days. In the first session we will discuss appropriate yarns and weave structures and will review warping and weaving a wide web. Students will then weave yardage at home or on a rented Guild loom. A loom with a minimum weaving width of 36” is required. The last two sessions will be devoted to the construction of your cape.

Prerequisite: Basic weaving vocabulary and ability to independently warp loom
