The textile arts of weaving and ply split braiding are a central part of Louise’s life. Her current focus in weaving is handpainted silk scarves and household items such as towels, napkins and table runners
Introduced several years ago to Ply Split Braiding, she now explores this new, portable expression to create neck pieces and vessels.
She has taught both weaving and ply split braiding on East and West coasts and throughout the Midwest. Her articles on weaving and ply-split braiding have been published in Handwoven magazine.
